For Those Who Offer Prosphora at Divine Liturgy
Offering the prosphora for liturgy – that is, baking the loaves and bringing them to the parish – is a great help and service to God’s Church. It is also a great privilege and blessing for us who offer, as it gives us an opportunity to bring an offering to God, to participate in a unique way in the great act of our Lord Jesus Christ’s self-offering upon the Cross, and provides us a powerful means of intercession for our loved ones (and even, at times, our enemies).
It is appropriate that we prepare ourselves properly when we offer. We can do so by bearing in mind these guidelines. If you have any questions or need to switch your commitment, please email Mindy Williams.
